Hi there! We are the Clarke Tribe.
Four boys, three girls, two parents, one vision:
life together as a family.
A blended family striving to do life together. Share the journey with us as we seek to love each other, love our family and community and seek to make the place we love somewhere our children’s children will love too.
With a passion for community, we, the Clarke’s, are keen to share with you all that makes our community great. The freedom, the neighbours, the charities and volunteer groups. The lifestyle, the expression of love for others, and without doubt Jeremy’s passion for local business. We want to show you it all because our community is pretty awesome. We love it and, chances are, you will too!
Officially, this blog was launched on 27 February 2016, but we have snuck in a few important posts before then. Why the 27th? Well, it was our wedding day, so it was the day that simply made sense. Well, in a really poorly thought out manner that did not consider how busy wedding days are, in and of themselves! But that is okay, we have lived to blog another day and so we shall.
Yes, the big day was awesome! It featured bouncy castles and face painting and we have a full write up of our awesome, real, child-friendly wedding right here on Clarke Tribe. I have no doubt that more information about the day will seep to the surface as we share the joy of life with seven children. Also, from our wedding site, you can catch the details of our love story and, there are rumblings that maybe one day one of us will get around to sharing our handfasting commitments as part of our wedding ceremony with you also. Don’t hold your breath though, because we do have our hands full at this moment!
Are you thankful now that you didn’t hold your breath? We certainly are because it only took us three months! Yes, you can now read our handfasting commitments too. By the way, married life is awesome, really not that much different than life before but just with the perks that come with providing the security to your relationship and children that the bond of marriage brings. Not without its challenges, it has been an absolute joy.
The Clarke Tribe website is owned and managed by ‘Dad’ Jeremy Clarke. He is diligently assisted with website administration by ‘Mum’ Kristy. Both are active contributors to written content as time allows in their busy family life. Son, PJ Bear, also utilises this web site to share recipes with his twitter following. He is of high-school age and loves to cook.
